Hi there, I'm Lukas
I'm a project manager. Parent. Expat living in Zurich, Switzerland.
A few years back I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary contract gradually opened a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to Switzerland wasn’t in the long-range plan. As with many expatriate relocations, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more significant.
The early weeks were demanding— unfamiliar systems, new routines, fresh expectations. Daily tasks seemed more complex than expected.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, doubt, and plenty of learning on the job. Yet gradually routines took shape. We found places that fit us, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt steady.
Why I Built TilVoraTireMorio
Most online guidance was either corporate relocation advice or shallow tourism material. What was lacking was a genuine, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to fill that gap— hands-on guidance drawn from real life in Switzerland.
What This Site Does (And Does Not)
This site is about:
- Real-world experience from living in Switzerland
- Centered on family life and day-to-day realities
- Updated whenever something genuinely changes
This site is not:
- A resource for tourism authorities
- A platform for sponsored reviews
- An ordinary travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our time in Switzerland continues, and so does the learning process. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll keep recording what we discover.
